About

Born in Australia, Darryl learned photography from his father starting with a venerable Olympus Pen D - a jewel of a camera. After moving to Switzerland in 2006, he decided to focus on his photography and especially on those images which he finds most inspiring - minimalist images which evoke peace and serenity.

While he still loves working with film, his work is now entirely digital. A light touch is used in post-production to give a consistency in feel and quality.

Influences are many and varied but include the masters: Ansel Adams, Edward Weston and their contemporaries plus Micheal Kenna, Micheal Levin, Susan Burnstine and the UK writer and photographer Barry Thornton.

Darryl lives on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
